Sunsurfer Arts & Education Consultancy

Sunsurfer Consultancy was established in 2004. We want a world that is fully inclusive for disabled and deaf people and people with mental health needs. Our main focus to develop inclusion, is arts and culture. Director Mickey Fellowes has run arts, arts education, and audience development projects in Liverpool, London and Manchester for Dadafest, Shape and the Audience Agency.

We help arts organisations improve their inclusion by training staff in:

  • Mental Health – we are trainers for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA-England) and Scotland (SMHFA)
  • Equality and Diversity
  • Disability Equality and Awareness
  • Deaf Awareness
  • Introduction to British Sign Language

We work across the UK from Belfast to Aberdeen, from Cardiff to London, both in-person and online. We are a deaf led organisation with skilled adult education trainers. Our advanced understanding of explicit and hidden access needs can support you with consultancy, research, advice and practical policy implementation.
