FRONTLINEdance
FRONTLINEdance is an artist-led company based in Stoke-on-Trent (SOT), placing disabled people and those with long-term health conditions at the core of our organisation as leaders, dancers, artists, participants and audiences. We do this with heart, skill, and inclusive practice, producing participatory and performance programmes in the community and in healthcare settings.
Weekly dance and movement sessions are offered for ages 7years to 90years+ and FRONTLINEdance’s tried and tested methodology means we specialise in delivering accessible and fully inclusive and accessible dance sessions and performances.
They provide positive physical, social, and mental health outcomes, freedom, expression, enjoyment, and build meaningful friendships. Our participants are united in describing them as a ‘lifeline’; they find a sense of themselves, notice physical improvement, feel they are important, welcome, and valued. They share increased motivation, engagement, adherence, and tolerance to exercise, emphasise the importance of social interaction, and increased energy and mood.
FRONTLINEdance also does one-off projects and workshops.
