Disability Arts Cymru
Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) engages, develops and connects disabled and Deaf artists in Wales with transformative arts opportunities and experiences.
Our mission is to provide disabled and Deaf artists in Wales with a creative journey, at any stage of their career. Our art form development officers work to engage disabled and Deaf artists from all communities in Wales, develop their practice through mentorship, workshops, peer events and support, connect them with professional arts opportunities, both in Wales and internationally, through strategic partnerships, sector relationships and the industry leading opportunities we create.
In society, our mission is to increase understanding of the social model of disability by embedding its principles into everything we do, educating individuals and organisations that societal barriers and negative attitudes ‘disable’ people, not impairments.
